The aim of the week is to raise awareness of the condition and give professionals and others a better understanding of how to help those with the condition. The Dyspraxia Foundation is running a conference in London on 27th September, aimed at professionals. Dyspraxia is an impairment or immaturity of the organisation of movement and can cause children many issues in the school environment, including organisational problems, poor memory and attention span, difficulties writing or following instructions, avoidance of PE or playground games. For more information about Dyspraxia visit the Dyspraxia Foundation website where you can get free materials for raising awareness within your school or setting, such as posters and leaflets.
