Keep the Promise LogoThe Keep the Promise march organised by End Child Poverty takes place in Trafalgar Square, London, on Saturday October 4th from 1pm - 3pm.

This is the UK's biggest ever event to support the end child poverty campaign. There is a short march which is led by children from Millbank, London or there is non-denominational service of commitment, being held at 11.30am in St. Margaret's Church, Westminster Abbey. These are then followed by a rally and events in Trafalgar Square, including children's entertainers, activities and speeches.

The Budget 2009 is the last realistic chance for the UK Government to meet the 2010 target and stick with it's promise to work to end child poverty. This event is being held to raise awareness and to enable people to demand a better future for all our children.

A free resource pack is available to download with key facts and definitions of poverty, case studies and support for raising issues in lessons and school assemblies.
